FIG Commission 7, Commission 3 and Malta institution of Surveyors are pleased to invite you to the Joint Workshop and Annual Meeting on Crowdsourcing of Land Information in Malta, 16–20 November 2015.

 

 

Dear delegates and friends of FIG Commission 7!

 

It is a great pleasure to invite you to the FIG Commission 7 Annual Meeting 2015 being held at the Hotel & SPA Le Meridien in St Julians, 39 Main Street, Balluta Bay, St. Julians, STJ1017, Malta.

 

As a part of the Annual Meeting, an international joint Workshop of FIG Commission 3 and Commission 7 will be organised on 16 – 19 November 2015.

 

The workshop will have two major themes representing the interests of Commissions 3 and 7:
Commission 3: "The Role of Citizens and Experts in Sensing Geographical Information"
Commission 7: "Crowdsourcing of Land Information"

 

The venue of the Annual Meeting 2015 has been decided as on the beautiful island of Malta, located in the Mediterranean Sea with excellent flight connections to many other countries in and outside Europe. Malta, one of the smallest countries in Europe, provides a perfect surrounding for an international event, lots of cultural heritage sites going back to ancient times, excellent hospitality of people and a wonderful scenery along seaside. And a mild Mediterranean climate, even in November.

 

Accompanying persons are very much welcome to attend the social events and excursions.
